If you're looking for proof that the martial arts can transform lives, meet Shihan Lesa Doyle.

A certified 7th-degree black belt with the Okinawa and International Goju Ryu Karate-Jutsu Association and PCAMA, Shihan Lesa has dedicated 38 years to helping students grow, not just in physical strength, but in mindset, spirit, and confidence. She is the co-owner of the Port Credit Academy of Martial Arts with her husband and Chief Instructor, Hanshi Christopher Doyle.

Having overcome severe asthma through her training, Lesa is known for her fun, high-energy teaching style that emphasizes proper technique, self-defense, and fitness.

She is a proud mother of two and has played a key role in building one of Canada's most respected and professional martial arts academies.

Beyond the Dojo

Founder of the Kardio Kicks program, she also spearheads and organizes charity events for the community, especially in support of local food banks.

From skydiving, hot yoga, marathon running, and championship pickleball, to cross-training, personal training (CanFitPro certified), relaxing with music, reading, and enjoying nature, Shihan Lesa brings energy to everything she does.

She finds fulfilment in seeing white belts grow into Port Credit "AMA"ZING black belts, each reaching for their personal best.
