At just six years old, Malia discovered martial arts when a friend showed her a few moves. Intrigued by the fun and energy, she decided to try it for herself and quickly found a love for karate.
What began as playful curiosity has grown into a passion that makes her feel stronger, more confident, and safe. Her favorite part? Learning self-defense, because it gives her the power to protect herself and feel secure.
Training at the dojo has brought Malia more than physical skills. She's learned patience, gained confidence, and found joy in being part of a community where many of her friends also train.
For Malia, karate isn't just fun it's a journey toward her ultimate dream: becoming a black belt one day. Her advice to other kids thinking about joining is simple and wise: "Don't be scared, it's okay. Karate is lots of fun."
